Who is LITA?
Who is LITA?
Founded in 2014, LITA has become a key player in sustainable and socially responsible investing in France and Belgium. Through the platform, citizens give meaning to their investments by placing their money directly in companies that develop concrete ecological and social solutions. With over 10 years of experience in participatory fundraising and supported by a very large community of individual and professional investors, LITA has established itself as the leading financier of transition-focused companies. In 2025, the group reached a new milestone with the creation of “LITA Gestion” and the launch of Europe’s first citizen co-investment fund. This groundbreaking initiative supports the transition by bringing together professional investors and citizen savings.https://lita.co/fr
What does investing in equity securities mean?
What does investing in equity securities mean?
Participatory securities are interest-bearing debt instruments that are treated as quasi-equity for the cooperative.
Here are their features:
- Redemption period: Participatory securities are redeemable only starting in the 7th year. The redemption date is not contractually binding, which means that the cooperative has the right to extend the investment period and redeem investors’ investments after this 7-year period.
- Fixed and variable interest rates: Participatory securities pay investors a fixed interest rate, which is set in advance in the offering agreement. For the Duralex fundraising campaign, the interest rate is 8% per year for 7 years, followed by an additional 1% per year.
- No voting rights or ownership interest: Unlike shares, participatory securities do not confer any voting rights on
general meetings or any shares in the cooperative’s capital.
- Investment Risks: This investment involves significant risk and is a bet on the future. Invest only if you are prepared to lose the amount you have invested.
