Questions about cups
Can't decide between a mug and a cup? Do you want to know which capacity to choose for a coffee, cappuccino, tea or herbal tea? Find below our answers to the most frequently asked questions to help you choose your Duralex® glass mugs and get the most out of your hot drinks.
What use is a glass mug?
At breakfast or after meals, with or without a handle, the glass cup is ideal for holding tea, coffee, chocolate or herbal tea. Depending on your favourite beverage, you can choose from different sizes: 9 cl for the glass espresso cup, 16 cl and 18 cl for the glass cappuccino cup and over 20 cl for beverages such as tea or herbal tea. For a less traditional use, your glass coffee cup can also become a decorative accessory: pencil pot, dried flowers, reinvent the use of this everyday essential.
The different styles of glass mugs
Whether for breakfast or after a meal, coffee mugs are found in every home and come in a wide variety of styles and finishes. Appreciated for their lightness and finesse, you can choose between transparent coffee cups, such as those in the emblematic Le Picardie® range, or tinted models, recognisable by the slight opacity that characterises them. The Lys range specialises in cups with coloured handles, offering yellow, grey and sapphire blue, in a style that is both original and modern. While hot water is best enjoyed with glass teacups with handles, models without handles are particularly suited to espresso in the morning or decaf in the evening. To make your choice, Duralex® offers the round, airy lines of the Le Gigogne® models, or the Caprice sets in a chic, elegant style.
